We hear you, you can’t wait. The all-electric Semi truck is long overdue since Elon Musk announced it on Twitter in 2017, promising it for 2019. Its production launch is now scheduled for 2023 and it is available for reservation at long last. You can book one on the company’s website by making a USD 5,000 deposit, followed by another USD 15,000 within ten days. This amount will be deducted from your final invoice, of course. Tesla says its Semi is powered by four independent motors on the rear axles, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 20 seconds and has a range of 480 or 800 km. Price starts at USD 150,000, and companies such as Walmart and FedEx have already placed orders. As usual with Tesla, expect delays and even spec changes along the way.

The Verge, James Vincent, “Tesla is ready to take your money for its Semi truck (just don’t ask when you’ll actually get one).”
