Director of IT Infrastructure and Security

As a IT Infrastructure and Security Manager at Spiria, you will be required to:

  • Define processes and protocols to ensure network infrastructure efficiency, IT security compliance, hardware procurement, and user service;
  • Plan material, human and financial resource requirements based on current operations and various projects;
  • Plan and manage the purchase of new equipment in conjunction with other departments;
  • Plan and manage the replacement of obsolete equipment;
  • Manage the IT team by ensuring the proper distribution of the tasks to be performed and ensuring the development of skills;
  • Daily management of the computer fleet (hardware, licenses, certificates, etc...);
  • Analyze existing practices, infrastructures and solutions;
  • Identify and assess vulnerabilities and risks, investigate potential solutions and make recommendations;
  • Oversee and prioritize tasks based on internal/external customer needs within the capacity of the IT team;
  • Implement and manage a functional disaster plan to ensure business continuity;
  • Lead the internal standards implementation project in conjunction with the Spiria team;
  • Improve the internal customer experience;
  • Ensure the realization of action plans related to the sustainability of Spiria's technological assets, notably through server administration, technical assistance to employees in the use of IT tools and the communication of best practices in their use;
  • Define and develop standards for developer support;
  • Offer support to divisions in the implementation of various improvement projects;
  • Ensure the management of the ticket system so that the follow-up of the tickets is in line with the present and future standards;
  • Support of the IT team as well as operations when needed;
  • Firewall, switches & VLAN management;
  • Employee onboarding.

Tasks related to the Montreal office:

  • Manage storage, backup and VM solutions;
  • Provide a roadmap and guidelines to the IT team for the development of automation tools to improve processes;
  • Ensure the management of the maintenance schedule;
  • Ensure the management of training needs for the support of the applications used (turnkey software and others);
  • Manage the research, evaluation and testing of new devices and software;
  • Make decisions and/or recommendations to the Spiria team regarding the ROI of these technologies.

The keys to your success:

  • 3 years of professional experience as an IT team manager;
  • Possess relevant education or other equivalent combination of experience;
  • Advanced knowledge in systems analysis;
  • Advanced knowledge of network design;
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, VMware, Linux data center applications;
  • Advanced knowledge of storage servers;
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365, Azure and cloud administration tools;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Understanding of systems, networks and basic security;
  • Strong sense of priority management;
  • Problem solving oriented and high customer service (internal / external);
  • Self-starter and strong problem solving skills;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to achieve set objectives in a timely manner;
  • Experience working with: Jira, Insight plugin, Saltstack, Elasticsearch, CheckMK, Nagios, Debian (asset);
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written).
